With the 2011 summer movie season in full swing with the release of “Fast Five” and “Thor”, Warner Bros releases a new theatrical trailer for their June tent pole film, “Green Lantern”. To this point, we’ve seen Ryan Reynolds, who will play Hal Jordan AKA Green Lantern in the green lantern suit, the green lantern ring in action and overall the general feel of the action and humor in the movie.
This summer is kind of a gamble for some movies studios. Sure, comic book movies are seen as a “safe bet” but incorporating a full on sci-fi element could be problematic for general audiences. Marvel/Paramount hit it big critically with “Thor” and time will tell if that will equal a successful box office. You can read Perri’s review here. I for one an excited for “Green Lantern” and my excitement is now fueled because of this new trailer.
