Nathan Lane and Robert Emms has joined the cast of Relativity’s “Snow White” film.

According to the press release, Lane will be playing Brighton, the Queen’s servant. Emms will play Renbock, Prince Alcott’s valet.

According to the press release, Lane can be seen in his recurring role on ABC’s Modern Family; he’s also starred in both the screen and stage versions of “The Producers” and comedies such as “Love’s Labour’s Lost,” “The Birdcage” and the Disney animated film “Lion King”. Emms will be seen in Roland Emmerich’s political thriller “Anonymous”, set to release September 30, 2011. He’ll also be seen in Steven Spielberg’s WWI-era film “War Horse”, out December 28, 2011.

The other cast members of the “Snow White” project are Academy Award winner Julia Roberts, Lily Collins (“The Blind Side”), and Armie Hammer (“The Social Network”). The film will be directed by visionary director Tarsem Singh (“Immortals”, “The Fall”, “The Cell”).

The official synopsis is, according to the release:

An evil queen and an exiled princess struggle for control of their kingdom in a spirited adventure comedy, filled with jealousy, romance and betrayal, that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.

Pre-production has already begun on the project, and principal photography will begin in June. The theatrical release date is set for June 29, 2012.
