Sheryl Crow is a phenomenal musician and incredible singer songwriter. Her music explores the realms of rock, folk, pop and country. Having won nine Grammys and 35 million albums world wide anyone could say that Crow has gotten some use out of her degree. Well, the argument to that is, Sheryl would have obtained all those accolades without that degree in Music Composition anyways. She is a beautiful and talented sparrow with a heavenly voice.
Besides her noticeable jingles, the singer has backup vocal credits with Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner, she has done a duet with Kenny Loggins and Crow has performed with other greats like Michael Jackson, John Mellencamp, Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton. International success suits this sparrow very well.
Including her cookbook ‘If it Makes You Healthy with Chuck White’ which came out this year. Sheryl has released seven albums and eleven DVD’s. Her lastest album ‘100 Miles from Memphis’ was released july 20, 2010 on A&M, and is doing extremely well with hit single “Summer Day”. And with the ‘Miles From Memphis Tour’ supporting her album the powerhouse keeps on truckin’.
Eagle Rock Entertainment is presenting a June 7, 2011 DVD and Blue Ray release of ‘Miles From Memphis: Live At The Pantages Theatre’ by Sheryl Crow. Filmed this past fall of 2010 at the pristine Hollywood venue, Crow rocks it with her 9 piece band. She’s bringin’ it with Motown and Memphis flavor, adding Marvin Gaye’s ‘Got To Give It Up’ and the Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’.
The Pantages Theatre is a spectacular venue made in 1930 and owned by Howard Hughes. The art deco marvel hosted the Academy Awards from 1949- 1959 and is considered a Hollywood treasure. “It was a very special night, playing with this incredible band in this wonderful venue, and I’m so happy to be able to share it with all my fans around the world”, says Sheryl Crow.
