What’s better than 10 brand new Mondo poster designs? Ten new designs paired with 35mm screenings of the film, of course! This weekend, The Alamo Drafthouse will kick off a special summer screening series called the Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow. Starting tomorrow, The Alamo Drafthouse, Texas Monthly and Mondo, the Drafthouse’s collectible art boutique, will go from town to town in Texas showing ten of the state’s best films, screening them in spots in which they were either filmed or set.

It all begins on June 3rd in Fort Parker, Texas, home of the Comanche raid in John Ford’s The Searchers. From there, it’s on to Kingsland for the June 4th screening of Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre followed by Blood Simple in Austin on the 5th. And this is only the beginning. Head on over to the Drafthouse website to check out the full schedule by clicking here.

And, of course, there’s no forgetting those posters. In honor of the outdoor 35mm screenings of each film, artist Jason Munn put his own spin on the films’ posters all of which are beautifully simple yet profoundly telling. Check out my favorite two of the bunch below and click right here to see the lot.

Oh, and did I mention these screenings are free?
