HitFix Fantasy has announced the launch of the first fantasy league application, featuring ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ To coincide with the hit FOX reality show selecting its top 20 finalists to compete in the audition round, the application will allow fans to form a league with their friends or join the public league.

Once a player has jointed a league, they can pick their favorite top 20 dancers by dragging and dropping photos of them, from who they think will be the least likely to be eliminated to who they feel is the most likely to be sent home. Throughout the season, participants in the fantasy league will earn points, based on how accurate their picks are, to try to be named the winner of their bracket.

Players receive the most points when they correctly predict the dancer who will eliminated every week. The higher the eliminated dancer is on a player’s list as the most likely to be sent home, the more points the player will receive.

The maximum number of points a player can receive continuously increases throughout the current eighth season. Starting at 100, the points continue to climb until it hits 400 for the finale. A leaderboard is set up through each private league to report each player’s standings.

“This new application lets fans not only consume content, but also interact, predict the outcomes and discuss their favorite contestants,” Jennifer Sargent, the co-founder and CEO of HitFix, has said. “This increased engagement and superior user experience is what differentiates us from other entertainment sites.”
