Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are officially back to work, and have returned to their Vancouver set to kick off filming on season 7 of the CW hit show! The boys, back in business, will begin working on the Jensen Ackles directed episode “The Girl Next Door.” This is the episode that actor Colin Ford is returning for. Ford, who tweeted the news a few weeks back, will be reprising his role as the adolescent Sam in the episode that follows the younger Winchester’s run in with an old friend, a girl he reportedly saved, and almost ran away with.
Bobby, played by Jim Beaver, is back as well! Tweeting away, the seasoned demon hunter, and voice of reason to the Winchester brothers, told fans – “If you haven’t ordered my book at www.lifesthatway.com, take your time. I’m off to Vancouver this Tues. to film and cant sign till I get back.”
Meanwhile, Misha Collins has also been speaking out in several new interviews that have hit the web. Collins, aka Castiel, says that since his status on the show has been dropped to guest star, he’s still waiting to find out what he’ll be doing when Supernatural season 7 premieres.
“I am not going to be a series regular on ‘Supernatural’ next year. I don’t really know what my role on the show is going to be.”
A little depressing, I know. But at least fans can rest assured that the angel will be making an appearance in the first two episodes in order to close out the Cas/God storyline and hopefully find redemption. Supernatural will be back in September!
