The “Oldboy” news seems to be coming fast now that the news of Spike Lee directing has been released. Now, according to CinemaBlend via Twitch Film, Josh Brolin has been the first name rumored to be attached to the project.

According to the article, Mandate Films list of potential leads has Brolin right at the tippy-top. He’s a great actor, so I’m sure he could do what is required of him and then some. In any case, he could get butts in seats and keep the people attached to those butts highly entertained.

Keep in mind, though, that this is a rumor–it’s not a fact. And, as said earlier, Spike Lee was announced as the director of this film, so he might have his own idea of who he wants in the film. We have to keep in mind that he’s a director who is generally the mastermind behind his own films, so I’m sure he’s got some opinions as to how he wants this film to go.

But let’s hear your thoughts. Who do you think should be cast in the film? Should the role go to Brolin or should it go to someone else? Give us your opinions on this matter in the comments section below.
