Hardcore fans of Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” are hoping that no errors will be made in the final installment of the hugely popular franchise. Tom Hardy, who will play Bane in the film, told TotalFilm that Bane will not disappoint fans.

“I think Bane’s f—ing cool so I’m really excited to play him. It’s not the guy in Joel Schumacher’s film [played by Jeep Swenson], but it shouldn’t disappoint fanboys.”

He said that it didn’t take him long to consider playing the character. “You’re asking me to come round the world with you in a Batman movie, playing a villain, and the only downside to it is I have to wear a mask? Hmm, let me think. I’ll get back to you…No, I’m f—ing there, man! Anything you need.”

He also said that whether or not his character will actually break Batman as he does in the comics will be revealed only when the film rolls in theaters. “…[A]ll I can say is that Chris has a plan up his sleeve that’s not at all disappointing. And that is a definite choice that’s watertight in every respect.”
