‘ChromeSkull: Laid To Rest 2,’ the sequel to the 2009 cult slasher hit ‘Laid To Rest,’ is set to be released on unrated Blu-ray and DVD versions, as well as a rated DVD version, on September 20, 2011. The movie, which is being released by Image Entertainment, was directed by ‘ChromeSkull’ helmer Robert Hall and stars Brian Austin Green, Johnathon Schaech, Danielle Harris, Gail O’Grady and Owain Yeoman. Nick Principe reprises his role of the title character, ChromeSkull.
The sequel picks up three months after the original left off. ChomeSkull has come to rely on his assistant Preston, played by Green, to take care of his business. Preston has an increasing taste for blood, and begins to slash people. Not wanting to be outdone, ChromeSkull resurfaces with his own bloody massacre.
The bonus features included on the ‘ChromeSkull: Laid To Rest 2’ Blu-ray and DVD are audio commentary with Hall, co-writer Kevin Bocarde and Green. There’s also a behind-the-scenes featurette titled “A Cut Above: Creating ChromeSkull.”
