Tom Cruise and “Mission: Impossible” fans–in case you didn’t know, tickets for Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” are now on sale! The action film, the latest in the “M:I” franchise, opens in theaters everywhere on Dec. 21st, but if you’re a die-hard fan of the franchise and can’t wait until then, you have opportunity to see it first in IMAX and select other locations beginning Friday, Dec. 16!

“Ghost Protocol” was produced by and starring Tom Cruise, and directed by two-time Oscar-winner Brad Bird, stars Cruise, who returns to his role as Ethan Hunt. The ensemble cast consists of an international cast that includes Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux.

Here’s the official synopsis of the film:

“Blamed for the terrorist bombing of the Kremlin, IMF operative Ethan Hunt is disavowed along with the rest of the agency when the President initiates “Ghost Protocol.” Left without any resources or backup, Ethan must find a way to clear his agency’s name and prevent another attack. To complicate matters further, Ethan is forced to embark on this mission with a team of fellow IMF fugitives whose personal motives he does not fully know.”
