Academy Award-winning Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh are collaborating to present the investigative documentary ‘West of Memphis.’ The film, which was directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Amy Berg and is being released by first-time producers Damien Echols and Lorri Davis, strives to show what happens when justice fails both the living and the dead.

‘West of Memphis’ serves as an investigation into the development of the infamous murder case of Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley Jr. The three were jailed for the 1993 murders of three, eight year-old boys, Christopher Byers, Steven Branch and Michael Moore, in West Memphis, Arkansas.

The documentary reveals the story from the men’s point of view. ‘West of Memphis’ reveals new evidence surrounding the arrest and conviction of Echols, Baldwin and Misskelley, all of whom were teenagers when they were accused of murders they didn’t commit.
