Tom Hardy has expressed his discontent with the mask he had to wear while filming his scenes as Bane in the anticipated film ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ Comic Book Movie is reporting. Debates about whether or not the actor could be understood while wearing the mask hit the Internet after the prologue for the movie was attached with the theatrical release of ‘Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol.’ However, director-producer-co-writer Christopher Nolan has said he won’t fix Hardy’s dialogue in post-production.

Hardy said the mask was hard to get used to at first, as it was extremely tight. However, he eventually got used to it, and by the end of shooting, it didn’t bother him as much. While attending at the premiere of his upcoming action comedy ‘This Means War,’ Hardy said “Bane’s mask is tight. I got used to it, but you get used to anything really, in time.”

While Hardy added that Bane is brutal and heavy-handed, he didn’t remain in character while filming ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’ He said he was able to separated himself from the role.

“I didn’t get into a dark place at all. A lot of dark characters are easy to have distance from, it’s something I feel comfortable with, I suppose,’Hardy also said.
