There have been several different types of special Barbie dolls–dolls that depict world cultures, dolls of pop-culture figures like Bella from “Twilight” and Lucille Ball–but soon there will be a different type of Barbie doll, and she’s arguably tougher than your regular Barbie.
According to Crushable via Entertainment Earth and HG Girl on Fire, Mattel is looking to make a Katniss Everdeen Barbie doll.
According to the article, the doll will wear the same outfit Katniss wears in the movie. Which outfit the doll will be wearing hasn’t been specified, though. She could be wearing any one of the outfits she wears in the movie–the blue dress she wears in District Four, the “girl on fire” dress she wears in the interviews prior to the Games, the Arena uniform, etc. Which one she’ll be wearing will be revealed once we see the doll, I suppose.
