Netflix has decided to pass on continuing the canceled Fox sci-fi drama series ‘Terra Nova,’ Coming Soon is reporting. After the network announced it wouldn’t be moving forward with a second season for the show, the on-demand Internet streaming company started negotiations to air the sophomore season.

‘Terra Nova,’ which was shot in Queensland, Australia and was executive produced by Steven Spielberg, received mixed to positive praise from critics during its 11-episode debut season. However, the show only averaged 7.5 million viewers, and 2.6 million in the coveted 18-49 demographic. The finale, which aired on December 19, drew in 7.2 million viewers.

Jason O’Mara and Stephen Lang led the cast of ‘Terra Nova,’ which followed an ordinary family, the Shannons, as they journeyed back in time. They traveled to prehistoric Earth for an experiment to save mankind.

  1. that sucks, I enjoyed watching Tera Nova. I want to know what happen to the colony and if they were able to take back what they started to build there.
