Universal Pictures has released the first looks at the latest Judd Apatow film “This is 40, starring Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Megan Fox and John Lithgow. You can check out the rather whimsical, “slice of life” movie stills below the post. The interesting thing is that this film seems more like a summery film than a winter/Christmas film. I say that because this film is scheduled to be in theaters this Christmas.

The official synopsis of the film is:

Writer/director/producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) brings audiences This Is 40, an original comedy that expands upon the story of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) from the blockbuster hit Knocked Up as we see first-hand how they are dealing with their current state of life.

“This is 40,” also starring Iris Apatow, Maude Apatow, Melissa McCarthy, Robert Smigel, Charlene Yi and Albert Brooks, will be, as I said above, in theaters Christmas 2012. You can learn more about the film at the film’s official site, Facebook page, and YouTube page. You can also spread the news about the film by using the Twitter hashtag #thisis40.
