Lionsgate has announced that like the ‘Twilight’ and ‘Harry Potter’ franchises, the film adaptation for the final book in the ‘Hunger Games’ series, ‘Mockingjay,’ will be split into two parts, Comic Book Movie is reporting. The studio has also revealed the release dates for the final two movies in the hit sci-fi action adventure series.

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ is set for release on November 21, 2014. It’s follow-up, the last entry in the ‘Hunger Games’ series, ‘Mockingjay Part 2,’ will hit theaters on November 20, 2015. The final two installments will follow the first sequel in the series, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ which will hit theaters on November 22, 2013.

There’s no word yet who will helm ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ and ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.’ The main cast members are expected to return for the final two movies, however.
