Tyler Perry’s empire keeps growing with his new stage play, “Tyler Perry’s Madea Gets A Job!” In the musical stage play, a judge orders Madea to do some community service at a retirement home. However, the staff and residents of the facility aren’t prepared for the whirlwind that is Madea:
“Tyler Perry’s new musical stage play stars the infamous Mabel “Madea” Simmons. When a judge orders Madea to do 20 hours of community service at a local retirement home, the residents and staff are not ready for Madea’s brand of “the truth”, but all is well that ends well when Madea helps the residents of Easy Rest Retirement Home realize the importance of family, love and forgiveness.”
It goes without saying that the play stars Tyler Perry as Madea, but the production also stars Patrice Lovely (from the play, “I Don’t Want to Do Wrong,”) Cheryl Pepsii Riley, (“Why Did I Get Married?”) and Chandra Currelley-Young (“Madea’s Big Happy Family”).
“Tyler Perry’s Madea Gets a Job” will be available on Blu-ray ($24.99), DVD ($19.98), Digital Download, Video On Demand and Pay-Per-View Feb. 5 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. THE Blu-ray and DVD will have a behind-the-scenes featurette, showing you a lot more about the cast and story.
