“Disconnect” is going to be giving audiences something to think about when the film comes to select theaters April 12. If you judge films by their red-band trailers, there’s a new red-band clip from the dramatic thriller “Disconnect” out for all (who are of age, that is) to see. The clip features fashion designer Marc Jacobs in his acting debut. Remember that this is a RED-BAND CLIP, meaning you have to be over the age of 17 to watch the clip.

“Disconnect,” from LD Entertainment, is directed by Henry Alex Rubin and written by Andrew Stern. The film stars Jason Bateman, Hope Davis,Frank Grillo, Michael Nyqvist, Paula Patton, Andrea Riseborough, Alexander Skarsgard and Max Thieriot.

The film focuses on people’s troubles with staying alert in the physical world with the digital world right at their fingertips:

“A hard-working lawyer, attached to his cell phone, can’t find the time to communicate with his family. A couple is drawn into a dangerous situation when their secrets are exposed online. A widowed ex-cop struggles to raise a mischievous son who cyber-bullies a classmate. An ambitious journalist sees a career-making story in a teen that performs on an adult-only site. They are strangers, neighbors and colleagues and their stories collide in this riveting dramatic thriller about ordinary people struggling to connect in today’s wired world.”

You can learn more about the film at its official site and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
