Coming to DVD is a film that has been called “One of the finest and most unique independent horror films in recent memory” by Dread Central. With that kind of praise, I’m sure your interest has been piqued.

“It’s in the Blood” from Monarch Home Entertainment will be in theaters April 23. Not only did Dread Central give this film a four-star review, but WickedChannel.com also gave the film nine stars out of 10. The film is directed by Scooter Downey and stars Sean Elliot and Lance Henriksen.

“One year after a tragic incident tore their family apart; a grieving son (Sean Elliot) and his estranged father (Lance Henriksen – Aliens, The Terminator) embark on a journey into the wild to reconcile. When an accident leaves the father badly injured and strands them, it is up to the son to save them both. However, this wilderness is not what it seems and as they deteriorate, so too does reality. Horrifying creatures, ghostly apparitions– are they all in their heads… or could the truth be far more terrible?”

The trailer for the film is below the post. What do you think about the film? Are you excited for a new horror perspective? Give your opinions in the comments section below. You can learn more about the film at Monarch Home Entertainment.
