The first TV spot for Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” has been released! If you went to see “Jurassic Park” recently, you might have already seen the much longer trailer this TV spot originates from. In fact, seeing the trailer in IMAX finally sold me on the film. I know—I’m probably the last person on Earth who had some reservations about “Man of Steel,” but after Snyder’s “Watchmen” incident, I’ve feel like I’ve been burned. Now, though, I feel like we’re going to get a great film about a much more realistic, grittier Superman.

“Man of Steel” stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Michael Kelly, Russell Crowe, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff. The film also has the producing power of Christopher Nolan. Nolan and David S. Goyer also came up with the story, with the screenplay written by Goyer. It’s old news by now, but it’s good to know Nolan and Goyer are bringing their solemn stamp to the Superman universe. It brings me joy.

Here’s the TV spot, from Coming Soon. What do you think about it? Give your opinions in the comments section below. “Man of Steel” will be in theaters June 14.
