The official first stills from the upcoming horror mystery thriller ‘Virginia Obscura’ have been reveled by its writer-director, Toby Osborne, and producers, Day of the Muerto. The film, which recently wrapped principal photography, is currently in post-production.

‘Virginia Obscura’ features such feature horror stars as Matt Mitler, Thomas Kovacs, Linnea Quigley, Jessica Cameron and Christopher Marrone, as well as new actors Jennie Brown and Ed Conrade. The movie, which was shot on location in new York, Los Angeles and Atlanta, is primarily set on a 100-year old farmhouse in Ontario, Canada, during the middle of winter. The movie features special effects and make-up created by Kelly Mann, who worked on ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street 3’ and its immediate successor.

‘Virginia Obscura’ follows the title character’s search to find her birth father. During a deathbed confession, she learns the names of four men who took advantage of her mother during a drunken high school party. She then devises a plan to expose the truth and punish the men, one of whom may be her father.

When Virginia’s hostages awaken, bound and hooded, the masked knife-wielding title character accuses the men of being deadbeats. Their tormentor also blames them for stealing her mother’s innocence and abandoning the offspring of their one night stand.

Before the day of reckoning, Virginia collects the four men’s secrets and a sample of their DNA, and the paternity results are expected to arrive from the lab. After dropping the envolope on the doorstep, the delivery man becomes a conflicted voyeur within the farmhouse. The truth reveals itself during a showdown of revelations.
