Kids today are familiar with the rejiggered “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” cartoon series that’s constantly gaining fans, but isn’t time to teach these new fans about the original? If you’ve got a young “TMNT” fan or if you’re a lifelong fan, Season Three of the classic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is being released on DVD!

Lionsgate Home Entertainment is bringing all 47 episodes of the third season to a four-DVD set July 23. If you grew up with this series, you’ll certainly get transported back to the ’80s, when the Turtles most prized possession was a pan of cheesy pizza and the popular slang of the show included “Cowabunga” and other radical sayings. The DVD set will be priced at $19.98.

Here’s more you can expect from Season Three of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”:

“The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are bursting straight out of the sewer and ready for some mind-blowing mutant-morphing pizza-powered action! Raphael™, Donatello™, Michelangelo™, and Leonardo™ continue their epic quest to battle evil in this Complete Season 3 Collection, featuring 47 out-of-the-shell episodes. Join the green machine and their friends as they help to save the world against Krang™, Shredder™, Bebop™ and Rocksteady™ – one slice at a time.”
