‘Super 8’ and ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ director J.J. Abrams has released a new video trailer entitled ‘Stranger’ for what could be a new project. The clip from Abrams is steeped in mystery with no details revealed as to whether the teaser is for a possible movie from the producer or a TV series. The trailer features a man making his way out of the water, stumbling against the waves. Once he makes it to land a face with sewn lips appears from the darkness, lit only by what appears to be a torch. In the backdrop a narrator speaks of man’s loss and rebirth. The video comes from Abrams’ Bad Robot productions.
Speculation around the web points to a possible man with amnesia. There is also talk that the ‘Stranger’ trailer could be for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming NBC TV Series entitled ‘Believe’. Or could it be for ‘The Stop Along The Way’? Another project on Abrams’ plate that the director recently acquired the rights to.
