So, it looks like we’ve finally gotten a name for the fourth installment of “Transformers”! I think the official title, “Transformers: Age of Extinction” is an evocative, mysterious title. It seems like there actually will be a bit more seriousness to look forward to in this next film. I know some of you might be saying, “But this is also a Michael Bay film!” But it does see like the film might be giving the more cartoonish stuff from former “Transformers” films a back seat. It seems like the film is going to be more along the lines of a traditional action film instead of an action-comedy, which is something I’m all for.

Anyway, “Transformers: Age of Extinction” not only has its official title now for the world to see, but it also has a teaser poster that exclusively premiered on Yahoo! You can check it out below the post. Aside from the logo, all you’ll see is sand, so make what you will of that. Will this be in the desert? Will some kind of ancient mystery be involved? Who knows.

“Transformers: Age of Extinction” stars Mark Wahlberg as, according to Bay, a father named Cade. The film also stars Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, T.J. Miller and Sophia Myles. The film will be in theaters June 27, 2014.
