“Transformers: Age of Extinction” is a film that is looking a lot better than the original “Transformers” series. Say what you will about the intense special effects and girls in skimpy clothing, but “Age of Extinction” looks like it will make the franchise more about the robots and less about the humans. Yeah, there are two main humans (Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz as Cade Yeager and his daughter Tessa, respectively), but it seems like the plight of the Transformers will be taking front stage sans all that Allspark junk and tons of human characters who are up to nothing but hijinks.
