Daniel Radcliffe has been put in the friends zone in the first official trailer for his upcoming film, ‘What If.’ The movie, which is the first romantic comedy the former ‘Harry Potter’ actor has starred in, has also unveiled new images and an official trailer and website.

The travails of love and friendship are explored in ‘What If’ between Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan. The film also stars Adam Driver, Rafe Spall, Megan Park, Mackenzie Davis aand Oona Chaplin.

‘What If’ is set to be released in theaters this August by CBS Films. The romantic comedy was directed by ‘Goon’ helmer Michael Dowse and written by ‘Alone in the Dark’ scribe Elan Mastai.

The following synopsis for ‘What If’ has been released by CBS Films:

‘What If’ is the story of medical school dropout Wallace (Radcliffe), who’s been repeatedly burned by bad relationships. So while everyone around him, including his roommate Allan (Driver) seems to be finding the perfect partner (Davis), Wallace decides to put his love life on hold. It is then that he meets Chantry (Kazan) an animator who lives with her longtime boyfriend Ben (Spall). Wallace and Chantry form an instant connection, striking up a close friendship. Still, there is no denying the chemistry between them, leading the pair to wonder, what if the love of your life is actually your best friend?
