Aquaman has become too cool for school now that Jason Momoa has been rumored to be DC’s underwater superhero. If such a star is going to play Aquaman, it would make tons of sense that DC would put an Aquaman film on the fast track to greenlight status.

Flickering Myth is reporting that Warner Bros. has been registering some internet domains for some of their properties. The properties include “Wonder Woman,” “Shazam,” “Justice League” and “Aquaman.” So, despite the fact that DC is remaining weirdly mum over whether Aquaman will come to the big screen in a solo film, their domain-buying records say otherwise.

The biggest question I have isn’t whether Momoa is playing the character. My question is if DC can really make Aquaman cool. What will the treatment for the film be? How will the underwater scenes get shot? Will it be CG, just like how most of the underwater scenes in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy were shot? Who knows. But perhaps we’ll see some of the new Aquaman treatment in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” when it comes to theaters March 25, 2016.
