SpongeBob SquarePants is probably one of the happiest cartoon characters created. Even when he’s having a bad day, he finds a way to put a smile on his face. His brand of happiness is not only being celebrated on the first Monday of January, but it’s also being spread to everyone during Monday’s Day of Positivity.
SpongeBob sings about his positive outlook in two new videos, “Thank Gosh It’s Monday!” and “Be Positive!” To be honest, I feel like everyone needs to listen to “Thank Gosh It’s Monday!” every Monday, because who really likes Monday? It’s the first day of the work week, the day to get back to doing boring life things and a constant reminder that the fun of the weekend is finite. But if we look at it as a new opportunity to do good and be happy, Monday doesn’t seem so terrible.
The videos are also promoting “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.” The film comes to theaters February 6 and stars SpongeBob (voiced by Tom Kenny) and his friends as they face off against the evil pirate Burger-Beard (Antonio Banderas).
