Ethan Hawke will take on criminals with time-travel technology in “Predestination,” written and directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (“Daybreakers”). The Stage 6/Vertical Entertainment film is certainly aiming to push the boundaries of science fiction and that spirit has been evoked in the new Mondo poster for the film, designed by Jay Shaw.

The poster is evocative and minimalist and is a great reminder of some of the sci-fi films from the late ’70s and ’80s. Take a look at it below the post; if you love Mondo posters in general, you’re sure to love this one.

“Predestination” also stars Sarah Snook (“Jessabelle”), Ethan Hawke (“Boyhood”) and Noah Taylor (“Tomb Raider”). “Predestination” has been a hit in the festival circuit, winning the Special Award for Best Sci-Fi Film at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Snook was and the Spierig brothers were nominated for Best Actress and Best Direction, respectively at the 2015 Australian Academy of Cinema & Television. The film was also nominated by the academy for Best Film.

Here’s more about “Predestination”:
