Horror icon Brinke Stevens (“Nightmare Sisters,” “Teenage Exorcist,” “Bad Girls from Mars”) is a woman on the run in “Jonah Lives,” directed by Luis Carvalho.

The film features Stevens as a woman who believed she’d gotten away with murder, until a group of teens play with a ouija board.

“A group of suburban teenagers find themselves embroiled in a story of revenge from beyond the grave. Foolishly playing with a ouija board, they contact the spirit of a murdered man. Jonah rips his way out of the earth in the form of a murderous zombie, intent on avenging his untimely demise. Before he can rip out the heart of his killer, he must claim the lives of the teens that disturbed his rest.”

The film is scary in itself, but the location the film was shot in is also a horror staple; the film was shot in Fall River, MA, where Lizzie Borden grew up and, of course, where the unsolved Borden family murders took place.

Wild Eye Releasing has set “Jonah Lives” for an April 21 DVD release date. The DVD will feature a behind-the-scenes featurette with Stevens, a post-screening celebration featurette shot in Fall River, trailers and teasers.
