One of the most intimidating and relentless predators known to man is set to begin invading public locations and homes across the U.S. The title character of the new horror film, ‘Clown,’ is set to be unleashed on audiences this summer, as Dimension Films and Anchor Bay Entertainment will distribute the theatrical and On Demand release of the thriller. The drama, which is being presented by producer Eli Roth, will unleash the frightening villain in select theaters on Friday, June 17. The movie will be simultaneously released On Demand through Starz Digital.

‘Clown’ was directed by ‘Cop Car’ helmer, Jon Watts, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Ford. The horror film stars Peter Stormare, Laura Allen and Elizabeth Whitmere.

Described as a unique and disturbing take on evil clowns, the Young Artist Award-nominated ‘Clown’ follows a loving father who dons a clown outfit and makeup to perform at his son’s sixth birthday. He only later discovers that the costume, which includes a red nose and wig, will not come off, and his own personality changes in a horrific fashion. To break the curse of the evil outfit, the father must make grim choices, as his own family faces danger.
