Actress Laura Fraser appears in writer-director-producer Carl Strathie’s sci-fi-supernatural-thriller, ‘Dark Encounter.’

Continuously contending with loss, especially in a spiritual way, is a powerful journey, both physically and mentally. Lead actress Laura Fraser’s protagonist in the new thought-provoking drama, ‘Dark Encounter,’ is showing how heartbreaking that progress is, especially for parents.

The performer’s character’s quest to find answers about, and peace with, the disappearance of her young daughter will be brought to life when the sci-fi film is distributed on January 7, 2020. ‘Dark Encounter’ will be available on Apple iTunes and other leading digital providers, as well as on DVD at such outlets as Amazon and Walmart, courtesy of 4Digital Media.

The supernatural drama was written, directed and produce by Carl Strathie. In addition to Fraser, who’s best known for her role as Lydia on ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul,’ ‘Dark Encounter’ also stars Mel Raido, Alice Lowe, Sid Phoenix, Grant Masters, Vincent Regan and Spike White.

A year after Maisie Anderson vanished, her family return home from her memorial service. Upon their return, they’re terrorized by strange lights in the sky, which may hold the truth behind Maisie’s disturbing disappearance.
