Murdered Lawyer’s Legal Brief Surfaces in Wake of California State Bar Apology

Shocking Evidence of Girardi’s Colossal Corruption Resurfaces

Attorney Murray Greenberg, once the Chief Attorney for the California Supreme Court,
re-enters the spotlight after being named in a heavily redacted
California State Bar Apology.

Greenberg was forced to flee California and hide in Arizona after filing a
legal brief
in defense of media mogul Alki David that directly confronted the Girardi network.
Whistleblowers say his filings were ignored by State Bar Director Leah Wilson.

The Web Around Alki David

For years, Alki David has been targeted in a web of contentious lawsuits orchestrated by
Tom Girardi, Gloria Allred, Lisa Bloom, and their allies —
including disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti, as well as Gary Dordick and Keith Griffin.

Girardi and Avenatti are now indicted and disgraced, yet Allred, Dordick, and Griffin remain tied to
unresolved lawsuits and unpaid insurance liens currently under investigation.
David has long argued the syndicate sought to strip him of patents, businesses, and wealth through litigation-as-extortion.

A Pattern of Death Surrounding the Brief

“Phil Kay was murdered in San Francisco on his motorbike after co-authoring an Amicus Brief with Murray Greenberg.” — Alki David

David further alleges that three other lawyers tied to his defense have died under suspicious circumstances:
Barry Rothman (David’s counsel), Rebecca Rini (FCC attorney),
and John Quirk (ex-CIA investigator who exposed
Allred’s $200M in undeclared assets).

“After Kay’s murder, Gloria Allred assumed his San Francisco practice, targeting gay lawyers who were themselves being persecuted by the State Bar.”
— Whistleblower testimony (to be filed in David’s racketeering cases)

A Brief To Die For

The Kay–Greenberg amicus curiae outlined the unconstitutional misuse of the State Bar as a political weapon.
Two California Supreme Court Justices warned of this very abuse decades ago:

“It may be efficient; it certainly isn’t pretty. And because it seems antithetical to the constitutional design…”
— Justice Janice Brown, In re Rose (2000)

“The law alters the composition of the State Bar Court in a way likely to reduce public confidence in the attorney discipline system.
It is invalid under the separation of powers clause.”
— Justice Joyce Kennard, Obrien v. Jones (2000)

The State Bar’s Dark Machinery

Described by David as “a syndicate masquerading as regulation”, the State Bar allegedly:

  • Shielded Girardi and allies even after federal fraud sanctions;
  • Used fabricated contempt findings and default disbarments to silence opponents;
  • Weaponized discipline against small firms and whistleblowers while protecting politically connected lawyers.

Murder, Exile, and Cover-Up

“They wanted Greenberg and Kay silenced because their brief exposed the Bar’s criminal malfeasance.
Instead of justice, California delivered murder, exile, and cover-up.” — Alki David

Shockya continues to investigate the Girardi–Allred network, the suspicious deaths tied to it, and the buried evidence the State Bar has only begun to acknowledge.
