If you want the secrets of the upcoming “Hunger Games” film to be leaked out, you better kiss that wish goodbye. According to Forbes, the film’s producer, Nina Jacobson, is doing her best to keep the secrets under wraps.

“We’ve tried to keep it under lock and key,” she said. “We’ve done some small screening for friends but I haven’t sat in the dark with 400 strangers and heard what they think.”

She is, however, trying to let fans down gently by telling them that even though the storyline will be quite close to the books, there are some things have been changed, such as District 12 girl Madge giving Katniss the mockingjay pin. In the film, the pin is purely between Prim and Katniss.

“The most important thing in the early scenes is to establish Katniss’ relationship with her sister so we sacrificed Madge,” she said.

“The Hunger Games” stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, a girl who volunteers herself for The Hunger Games, a brutal practice in Panem’s Capitol:

“Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.”
