Angel Salazar, who played Tony Montana’s cocaine-retrieving friend Chi Chi in ‘Scarface,’ was arrested for DUI in Brooklyn last week, TMZ is reporting. According to court documents, the actor was driving a 1999 Volvo Sedan when he was seen swerving between lanes just after midnight on Thursday.
When police approached the Volvo, Salazar appeared drunk and smelled like alcohol. He eventually took a breathalyzer test, and his blood alcohol level was .121. Salazar was arrested and was booked on three counts of DUI.
Salazar told TMZ that he had been drinking earlier in the night, but he didn’t believe he was too intoxicated to drive. He thought he may have been released after one of the officers recognized him from him ‘Scarface,’ but he was still arrested. He is currently out on bail and awaiting his court date.
