Anthony E. Zuiker and his production company, Dare to Pass, are set to premiere their new digital film ‘Cybergeddon’ on Yahoo! on Tuesday, September 25 with Dolphin Digital Studios. The official trailer for the thriller by Zuiker, the creator of the ‘CSI’ franchise, was officially released today.
‘Cybergeddon’ follows the story of agent Chloe Jocelyn (played by Missy Peregrym) as she investigates a series of seemingly unrelated cyberattacks, with the help of fellow agent Frank Parker (portrayed by Manny Montana) and incarcerated master hacker Chase ‘Rabbit’ Rosen (played by Kick Gurry). Chloe and her team must find the worldwide cybercrime ring led by Gustov Dobreff (portrayed by Olivier Martinez) before it’s too late.
Yahoo! will exclusively debut ‘Cybergeddon’ in over 25 countries and 10 languages in a series of nine digital chapters. Three chapters will be released per day over the course of three consecutive days.
Besides airing the nine chapters, Yahoo! will also feature additional clips that provide a deeper narrative with the characters, exclusive on-set photos, behind-the-scenes clips and interviews with the cast and crew. The Web site will also host a section where viewers can learn more about the realities of cybercrime.
“‘Cybergeddon’ is a cinematic experience that breaks traditional rules. With the global distribution arm of Yahoo!, we will give viewers a way to have more to do after watching the segments to gain more knowledge and further interact with the storyline and cast,” Zuiker said of the film. “The best part is that all of this can be experienced on any device, anytime and anywhere, day and date with the launch of ‘Cybergeddon.’”
‘The Zero Hour’ director Diego Velasco helmed ‘Cybergeddon,’ which was penned by ‘The Tomb’ writer Miles Chapman. The film is the first of its kind co-produced, distributed and financed by Dolphin Digital Studios.
