After hitting Fantasia, the Napa Valley Film Festival, Sci-Fi-London Film Festival and more, Jordan Galland’s “Alter Egos” enjoyed a limited theatrical release and a run on VOD platforms. You can still catch the film in full on iTunes or on DVD via Amazon, but we’ve also got a brand new piece of the production to share – a 20-minute behind the scenes documentary.
The film features Kris Lemche as the superhero Fridge. Of course that’s only his alter ego, but his real persona falls to the wayside when Brendan opts to bury himself in Fridge after he finds out his girlfriend loves his superhero form more. But relationship drama doesn’t change the fact that Fridge still has a job to do. Despite the superhero backlash and loss of government funding, Fridge and his buddy C-Thru (Joey Kern) must suit up to complete their next mission.
For anyone looking to make a feature on a very independent level, “Alter Egos – Behind the Scenes” is a must see. Galland runs through the entire process, hitting points like the appeal of a very original script, casting, working with longtime buddy Sean Lennon, finding locations, prepping the visuals, and more. Plus, after soaking all of this information in, you’re rewarded with a particularly charming and amusing montage of the cast and crew goofing off.
