Universal Pictures is currently developing a new version of the hit 1932 film ‘Scarface’ and its popular 1983 remake starring Al Pacino, Deadline is reporting. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Al Pacino has signed on to join the cast of the biopic “Gotti: Three Generations”. Pacino will play Neil Dellacroce, the Gambino crime family underboss and mentor and associate to John Gotti, Sr. Pacino is possibly most well known for his role in “The Godfather” series as Michael Corleone, the son of crime boss Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) and as Carlito “Charlie” Brigante in “Carlito’s Way”. Variety reports that actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are teaming up in a lawsuit against a movie distributor and a watch company that used their likenesses without permission. The actors’ lawsuit said that Overture Films, who distributed their film Righteous Kill, entered into a commercial tie-in with Tutima Watches and advertised said watches using De Niro’s and Pacino’s names, voices and likenesses without their consent. They sought unspecified damages.
