Joe Hill's Locke and Key To Air On SyFy Channel?

FOX has passed on Joe Hill’s (son of Stephen King) TV adaption for his awesome comic book series Locke and Key, but now we’re hearing the SyFy Channel and the CW Network could be interested!  For the unknown – the series was published by IDW and follows Nina Locke, a mother of three who moves her children to the old Keyhouse after the murder of their father (Mark Pellegrino). Located in the fictitious town of Lovecraft, Massachusetts, the supernatural Keyhouse mansion holds its own magical world of places unknown, hidden behind each door.  Sounds like there’s plenty of meaty plot here and plenty to explore.  So why did FOX pass…

Shia LaBeouf has signed on to play Ignatius “Ig” Perrish in the movie adaptation of the Joe Hill novel Horns, www.reelzchannel.com is reporting. Keith Bunin is set to write the script, which will follow Ig, a 26-year-old who wakes up the morning after the first anniversary of his girlfriend’s murder to find that he’s growing horns from his head. ‘Horns’ will follow Ig’s investigation into his girlfriend’s unsolved murder and its connection to his cursed fate. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (“Transformers”) have picked up the rights to produce a big-screen feature adaptation of IDW Publishing’s comic book series “Locke & Key”. Until recently, Dimension held the rights to the series, but now Kurtzman and Orci’s adaptation will be distributed through their own deal with DreamWorks. Written by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez, “Locke & Key” is about the Keyhouse, a New England mansion inhabited by the Locke family. Mandalay Adapting Horns

Mandalay Pictures has optioned the rights to bring the upcoming novel “Horns,” penned by Stephen King’s son, novelist Joe Hill, to life on the big-screen. The book is about a 26-year-old man who wakes up one morning after blacking out during an all-night drinking binge to find a pair of horns sprouting from his head. The horns seem to grow more every day, and are somehow tied into the unsolved murder of his girlfriend. The book will be published by William Morrow in February of 2010.
