Listen up, Harry Potter fans! MTV News reported today that the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” DVD will include the opening scene of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II”.
MTV News speculated as to what they think the sneak peek will be, including Shell Cottage (the place where we last left Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) at the end of “Part One”, Gringotts and Diagon Alley, Hogwarts, and Malfoy Manor.
If I’m putting my two cents in this speculation conversation, I would like for the movie to start with us right in the middle of the escalating Battle at Hogwarts, where we see Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis) helping kids, throwing curses, etc.; all the while he’ll be wondering “Where in the heck is Harry Potter when you need him!?” and then we cut back to the Trio, risking life and limb trying to find the horcruxes. Awesome.
In any case, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part Two” will tell the rest of the story of The Boy Who Lived and his friends as they get closer to killing Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes). The film, also starring Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Michael Gambon, will be in theaters July 15. The DVD of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part One” will be out April 15.
