Anna Faris is negotiating to star opposite Sacha Baron Cohen in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming comedy ‘The Dictator,’ Deadline is reporting. In the film, Baron Cohen plays a ruthless dictator who travels to the U.S. to attend a U.N. meeting. When he arrives, he discovers his second in command has replaced him at the meeting with a lookalike. The dictator then wanders the city, and meets the owner of an organic food store, who he becomes attracted to.

Faris is in discussions to play the store owner in ‘The Dictator,’ which is being helmed by ‘Borat’ and ‘Bruno’ director Larry Charles and is set to be released on May 11, 2012. Alec Berg, David Mandel and Jeff Schaffer are on board to write the movie’s screenplay.

Four studios were reportedly interested in picking up the distribution rights to ‘The Dictator’ when it was been shopped around. Paramount won the deal by sending two goats wearing studio t-shirts to visit Baron Cohen.
