Movies On Demand is keeping summer alive with their Summer Movies lineup! Movies On Demand is a totally convenient way to order and watch your favorite films in the comfort of your own home. No more having to go out to the movie store or rental kiosk!
There are three films Movies On Demand is showing this summer that I’m excited about. First up is “42.” I’ve already written about “42” on ShockYa before when it was being made. But I could watch this movie over and over and never get tired of it. The uplifting story of Jackie Robinson’s rise to baseball greatness is not only entertaining, but a fun way to honor the baseball legend.
Second is “Spring Breakers.” This Harmony Korine-directed film made waves in the indie film circuit and was routinely called by reviewers as a “fever dream.” This film tells the story of a group of undergrads who–along with their drug and arms dealer friend–turns spring break on its head with crime (done in fashionable day-glo, of course).
The third film is “A Resurrection.” The horror/thriller focuses on a hurting brother attempting to go to supernatural extremes to get revenge on his brother’s killers. The film features the late Michael Clarke Duncan, and if you’re a fan of Duncan (like me), you might want to take a look at this film.
Other films featured this summer include “Admission,” “Bullet to the Head,” “Byzantium,” “Dead Man Down,” “Drift,” “Drinking Buddies,” “Emperor,” “The Gatekeepers,” “Ginger & Rosa,” “The Host,” “I Give It a Year,” “Killing Season,” “Only God Forgives,” “Pawn Shop Chronicles,” “Scenic Route,” “Stranded” and “Tyler Perry’s Temptation.”
