What initially appeared to be a disastrous event that’s threatening the future of mankind may actually hold the secret to protecting people’s ultimate fate. To chronicle how the world can protect itself from foreign threats against its destiny, Shockya is premiering an exclusive new clip, titled ‘Protest,’ from the upcoming sci-fi movie, ‘Terminus.’

The clip is helping to promote the drama’s release, as Vertical Entertainment is set to distribute the film in theaters and VOD this Friday, January 22. ‘Terminus’ was directed by Marc Furmie, who also co-wrote the script with Shiyan Zheng and Gabriel Dowrick. The filmmaker returned to the sci-fi genre for his sophomore effort, after making his feature film writing and directorial debuts on last year’s ‘Airlock.’ His new thriller stars Jai Koutrae, Kendra Appleton, Bren Foster and Todd Lasance.

Vertical Entertainment has released the following synopsis for ‘Terminus’:

Blinded by the light of a falling meteor, David (Koutrae) has a devastating car accident, leading to a profound discovery: an extra-terrestrial organism that may contain the secret of life itself. When David goes missing for two days, Annabelle (Appleton) searches for her father, only to discover him wandering the forest, without so much as a scratch. David’s mysterious reappearance draws the attention of federal authorities and gives Annabelle reason to doubt his sanity. But David has a new sense of purpose, fueled by nightmarish visions. Driven by what he believes is an otherworldly purpose, David must convince Annabelle to believe him and complete his task before government agents can stop him, and the world destroys itself.
