The public can finally witness the ultimate test of heroism, as Harvey Keitel’s new war film, ‘Chosen,’ has received an official trailer and release date from its distributor, Lionsgate. In honor of the action movie’s upcoming distribution, Shockya is exclusively debuting the trailer, and announcing that it will be unveiled on DVD, Digital HD and On Demand on August 2.

‘Chosen,’ which was written by Gabriel de Mercur and directed by Jasmin Dizdar, was shot in Bucharest, Romania and New York. The action war film, which was produced by Michael Riley, was inspired by true events. The movie’s DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.98.

In addition to Keitel, the drama also stars Luke Mably, Ana Ularu and Julian Shatkin. Keitel plays the film’s main character, Sonson, in the present day, who reflects on his time as a young lawyer. During that period in his life, the story’s protagonist had to summon the courage to lead an attack against Nazi forces, in order to save thousands of lives. His courage alters the course of World War II as he unwittingly becomes a leader of the opposition, and discovers the hero deep within himself. Mably plays the younger version of the Hungarian lawyer in the drama.
