In a society that so strongly values self-preservation, there are still some noteworthy people who become so family-orientated that they’ll readily put their own lives in danger, in order to safeguard their loved ones. Actor Michael Paré is one such man who’s become so invested in protecting his relatives that he courageously risks his own safety to rescue his teenage daughter. The performer’s mission is intriguingly chronicled in Shockya’s new exclusive clip from his upcoming Western film, ‘Traded.’
Cinedigm is set to release the drama, which was directed by Timothy Woodward Jr., in theaters in 10 markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis and Atlanta, next Friday, June 10. The distributor, which will also unveil the movie through a day and date VOD and digital release, has unveiled the following synopsis for ‘Traded’:
In 1880s Kansas, sharpshooter turned rancher, Clay Travis (Paré), goes from happily married father of two to a man on a mission after the tragic death of his son, Jake (Hunter Fischer) and the disappearance of his daughter, Lily (Brittany Elizabeth Williams). Determined to bring his daughter home, and to protect what little family he has left, Clay leaves his quiet ranch and heads to Wichita and on to Dodge City. Along the way, he receives the help of an unlikely companion, Billy (Kris Kristofferson), during which time they leave behind a trail of gun smoke and dead bodies.
Shockya’s exclusive clip from ‘Traded’ follows Clay as he begins looking for Lily, after he arrives in Wichita. He suspects that a local bar and brothel owner, Ty Stover, who’s played by Trace Adkins, knows where she has been taken. While the criminal initially denies knowing Lily’s whereabouts, Ty becomes even more desperate to try to safe himself. So he finally promises to reveal where Lily is, if Clay cuts him down from the rope he has strapped around his neck. When Clay demands that his new enemy reveal where his daughter is first, Ty finally decides to offer a hint what he did with Lily.
