Rachel Weisz is preparing for the legal battle of a lifetime, in her journey to prove a historical truth, in the latest photos from her upcoming film, ‘Denial.’ The stills have been released by Bleecker Street, which will distribute the biographical drama in select theaters on September 30, 2016.

The historical biopic was directed by Emmy Award winner Mick Jackson, and produced by Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff. The drama, which is based on Deborah E. Lipstadt’s acclaimed book, ‘Denial: Holocaust History on Trial,’ was adapted for the screen by BAFTA and Academy Award nominated writer, David Hare.

Bleecker Street has released the following synopsis for ‘Denial,’ which will be an Official Selection at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival:

‘Denial’ recounts Deborah E. Lipstadt’s (Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz) legal battle for historical truth against David Irving (BAFTA nominee Timothy Spall), who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust denier. In the English legal system, in cases of libel, the burden of proof is on the defendant, therefore it was up to Lipstadt and her legal team, led by Richard Rampton (Academy Award nominee Tom Wilkinson), to prove the essential truth that the Holocaust occurred.
