Here’s the first behind the scenes photo of Dakota Fanning as Jane in the upcoming Twilight movie entitled The Twilight Saga: New Moon based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer. “New Moon” stars Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Kristen Stewart (Adventureland, The Runaways), Nikki Reed (K-11), Ashley Greene (Skateland), Taylor Lautner, (My Own Worst Enemy), Jackson Rathbone (S. Darko) Dakota Fanning and Kellan Lutz.

Film Synopsis: After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

I hope she doesn’t have her hair up - Jane is supposed to be insanely pretty and having her hair flowing all around her would make the vampiric touch - just like with Rosalie.

think she will be good but she needs to have her hair down it looks silly up. i thought janes hair was blonde??? maby im wrong, think i will look good down and blonde though!!

Dakota Fanning is an amazing actress and you shouldnt be criticisng her just beacause your jealous. No matter who the choose there are going to be people who arfe disappointed with the cast. You just have to live with it. Its not all about looks, you have to actually act the part well and not just sit there and look pretty alll the time .

I think that she’ll actually do really well in the part - and in a poster I saw a while back her hair was down and it looked great. I’m not crazy about the makeup in that picture, I think they overdid the eyes a little too much, but then again that’s not Dakota’s fault and with the movie lighting and everything I’m sure it’s going to look amazing. Can’t wait!

To the person who said jane was coloured please reread the book jane was white. The secretary was coloured but she being played by a white girl.

All the make-up is to help them do the eyes in editing when her eyes need to be red. Like robert had to have little dots drawn on him for the sparkling scene.
Dakota is a fab actress she is going to do a great job and if you read the book she fits the part of jane perfectly. Stop hating on her.

I think she’s all wrong for the part. She’s not that beautiful! Sorry but, they should of casted someone else. But, she’s a really good actress and I’m sure she’ll do a great job!!

I agree, I really hope she’s putting a wig on lol. Jane in the book is actually said to have very short pale brown hair even though I imagined her with dark brown longish hair. Dakota Fanning is a good actress I think she could pull it off but I still wish they picked someone else. I thought someone unknown or at least not as known would have been better. The outfit is horrible it should be a long typical cloak in my opinion and no white stocking hahaha! That would be the stylists fault though, not hers. Oh and the eye makeup, I think it will be fine, on camera everything looks different.

Geez, I dont think she fits the part at all. The New Moon movie really isnt going to be like the book. Not that it can be exactly the same, but you know…in my opinion they stuffed up twilight, and now theyre gonna stuff up New Moon too ;(

I’m sure her hair is up because their going to put a wig on her and I don’t think what she’s wearing is the long coat that the Volturi wear, I think it’s part of the dress. This looks like a surprise picture and on set I’m sure she’ll look way more vampire-ish.

I think that she wont be able to pull it off. She is too young and she will have to play an evil part. She is the innocent little girl that acted in Charlottes Web and now she has to play an evil vampire. She is 14 in a cast made up of actors and actresses much older and more experienced than her. I dont think she has the experience to do this part well. Honestly I dont think as many people will watch the movie with her as Jane.

Breanne, you obviously havent seen orphan. it doesnt matter how young an actor is. dakota has been acting since she was a tiny child, and i think she will be amazing. do your research before you run your mouth, dumbass.

okay. if u watch the trailer u will c that there is NO wig people. Dakote Fannig is a g8 actress. i agree that the books r way betta but u gt to give them aa chance. the film isn’t even iout yet for gods sake., the film looks gd but i am t sure. sum of it looks overdone and they just need to be less desperate. i am nt trying 2 side against any1 i am just sayin give the film a chance. u kite enjoy it, u mite nt.

In new moon where bella first sees Jane is says in plain words that her hair is pale brown and is right at her shoulders down. its so wrong…
