New details about the death of Martin Short’s wife are surfacing, and RadarOnline.com is reporting the cause may have been linked to a faulty oxygen tank. Nancy Dolman died suddenly on August 21 at the Pacific Palisades home she shared with Short in California.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a 911 emergency call that morning, in which a woman said Dolman wasn’t breathing. The woman added that the 58-year-old former actress “…was on oxygen, we had problems with the gauge here in the tank, she’s off oxygen.” The operator responded by telling the woman to perform CPR on Dolman, and “If she is able to fight you she is able to breathe on her own.” The woman on the phone, who hasn’t been identified, later told the operator that Dolman was awake and talking.
