‘Eclipse’ star Bronson Pelletier allegedly had his nose broken by four drunken men at a recent ‘Twilight’ convention in Birmingham, England, Popeater.com is reporting. The Canadian actor, who portrays the werewolf Jared in the series, was attacked in the men’s room. His assailants were attending a wedding in the same Hilton hotel where the convention was being held.
Pelletier said the men repeatedly struck and headbutted him, and he was unable to escape. Police subsequently chased the suspects, and arrested all four on suspicion of assault. Two were later released, and the other two were granted bail. The police are currently investigating the case, but a motive hasn’t yet been made public.
The U.K.’s Daily Telegraph reported that Pelletier “was really angry and upset. These guys were very nasty. They were so drunk, they probably didn’t even realize they were picking on a Hollywood actor.” The actor first appeared in ‘Twilight’s first sequel, ‘New Moon,’ and is scheduled to appear in the two remaining sequels, the upcoming ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and 2.’
