Lindsay Lohan has been telling friends that she’s thrilled Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab, as she feels he is in a “life or death situation,” TMZ.com is reporting. The ‘Mean Girls’ actress, who herself was discharged from the Betty Ford Center on January 3 after spending three months there, is also saying she’s worried about the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star.
Lohan added that Sheen’s behavior has shown “obvious signs of addiction.” She continued by saying she’s positive he can get his life back together if he commits to sobriety and “surrounds himself with positive, sober people.” She also “understands the problem of having the wrong people around.”
The actress’ support comes after Sheen voluntarily checked himself into rehab on January 28. His hit CBS show was scheduled to resume shooting in the beginning of February, but now has been put on hiatus. Network officials said they’re “profoundly concerned for (Sheen’s) well-being, and support his decision.”
